Halloween

Last night was the perfect halloween. The weather was perfect and the boys got a trash bag full of candy. Granmommy was in our front yard passing out candy when we came home from school to kids walking by on their way home from school. Our friends The Howard's came over to spend the evening with us. Their oldest, Preston, is on Julian's football team. Barrett their middle boy is in Tate's class and they have another little boy, Gannon, who is one. It was great for the boys to have someone to run from house to house getting bags full of candy. We also had cousin Kyle along for the evening helping keep up with all the kids in the dark. Half way through our evening Joe the plumber & his lovely bride joined the boys, be sure to check out the picture at the bottom. You can ALWAYS count on Poppy for a good costume. His fat suits are my favorite. I haven't decided if I like this one or the ballerina from years ago better.

Down...Set...Hut

...Julian's favorite thing to say now.

This fall has been lots of fun with plenty of football to watch, flag football that is. We were lucky enough to get Julian on a team that has 5 other kids he's known since daycare, some from when he was 18 months old. So the last two months have been rather busy with football among other things. Tuesday and Friday nights we've had practice, then games every Saturday at 8am. It's been a fun time for all of us. The team he is on is fantastic and the coaches have done a wonderful job working with 16 boys on a sport that requires the kids to be so organized. Many visitors have come by the practices & games to cheer on the boys including - CC, Poppy, Granmommy, Mama, and Aunt Julie. He loves having the visitors and showing off his stuff.

So, football. This is a sport I never saw myself encouraging one of our boys to play. Soccer, baseball, maybe basketball - absolutely. But football, I always thought I would strongly encourage him to go a different way. Then in late August this opportunity presented itself and I have been so glad that he's playing. The games are so much fun and the kids are so exciting to watch. Anyway, here are a few pictures from the season. The first few are from an e-mail a friend sent me. I can't figure out why they're posting in a smaller size.

Daddy up to bat...

Tonight we got to go and watch daddy play softball. He played FOUR games tonight and luckily one was early enough for me to get the boys out to watch. He's playing on a co-ed and men's team and both teams had a double header tonight - hence the 4 games in one night. Some games start as late as 10 so it was nice to have a game start at 6 so the little ones could make it out before bed time.

Tonight Mic pitched for the first time. Back in his prime he was strictly a third base man.

Go Daddy!!
